For Immediate Release: Australian Showcase returns To CMR NashvilleThe Australian Showcase, a one hour program featuring the finest in Australian country music returns to Country Music Radio Nashville this Thursday, September 8 at 4.00pm UK time. It will be repeated again at midnight and then 8 am Friday morning with a weekend repeat on Sunday morning at 5 am for listeners world-wide wishing to tune in.
Past host, Daryl Kirkup reluctantly left the show last year due to heavy demands on his time with his work commitments as the new proprietor of CRS Publicity and so the program went on hold while CMR Nashville sourced another presenter.
"The decision to leave the show was very difficult" said Daryl, "because I get much pleasure in being able to assist Australian country music artists in the promotion of their music and this program was such a fantastic opportunity to showcase their music to the world".
In Nashville recently, Lee Williams the CEO of CMR Nashville, caught up with Australian singer songwriter, Connie Kis Andersen and offered her the position as host. She subsequently accepted.
"We are so pleased to have Connie on board and thrilled to be able to offer our listeners the Australian segment again since so many of our audience just love Australian country music", says Lee. "Aussie country music artists with new albums and releases for consideration on the Australian Showcase can contact Connie Kis Andersen at OZcmrnashville@iinet.net.au with their information"Connie adds; "I am pretty sure I will need a little time to find my feet, especially following in Daryl’s footsteps, but I am very honoured to be able to give back to my industry and support my fellow artists in this way".
The reputation of CONNIE KIS ANDERSEN as a quality singer/songwriter is about to be elevated to far greater heights with the release of her new album, simply entitled Connie Kis. …
… launched at this year's Tamworth Country Music Festival, Connie Kis features 12 superb tracks that exude a more contemporary feel, taking her music to an entirely new level whilst maintaining her distinctive style."
