2019 Dates Announced For Nashville Meets London Presents Series at PizzaExpress Live (Holborn)


(NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Jan. 24, 2019) - Organizers of the successful Nashville Meets London summer music festival are excited to announce the dates for the 2019 Nashville Meets London Presents series at PizzaExpress Live, held at 99 High Holborn in London. The monthly residency will be held Feb. 19, Mar. 26, April 30, May 29, and June 26.   

Singer/songwriter, Sonia Leigh and London-based duo, O&O, will kick off the series on Tuesday, Feb. 19. BBC Radio 2 and Chris Country DJ Baylen Leonard will return as compere. 

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8:30 p.m. with a £15.00 cover each evening. Only a limited number of tickets are available. Nashville-Native, Sonia Leigh’s intense touring throughout the UK has made her a favorite amongst the Country music scene. Sonia’s infectious, raspy, delivery spans genres of Rock, Pop, Country and Americana gathering fans of all ages and musical tastes. Her songs have been featured on hit television shows such as ‘The Good Wife’ and ABC’s ‘Nashville’, video game ‘The Sims’, and landed her a pair of #1 songs recorded by The Zac Brown Band including, "Goodbye in Her Eyes" and "Sweet Annie."  In 2018 she released two independent records, Mad Hatter (January 2018) followed by a limited release Sonia Leigh and Friends: Live In London (recorded at Abbey Road Studios).  Later this year she will return for her third year on the Melissa Etheridge Cruise along with tour dates across the US, UK, and Europe. 

With the release of their first three singles and debut EP, American-Israeli duo O&O have garnered the attention of Chris Country Radio, BBC London, UK Country Radio, notable Country music blogs in the UK and across the pond, gaining features on Nashville’s The Boot and The Bluegrass Situation. The two met while studying at Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts where they had the unique opportunity of a one-on-one songwriting session with Sir Paul. After select shows in NYC and Nashville, O&O relocated to London in 2017. Since then, the pair has made their presence felt on the live music circuit with a successful UK summer tour including festival appearances at Cambridge Folk, Buckle & Boots, Country To Country and Black Deer in 2018. Their live show features the duo's distinctive, close-harmony sound with an Americana flare - Fleetwood Mac meets The Civil Wars. 

One of city’s newest live music venues, PizzaExpress Live is an intimate space for the best in live entertainment featuring a state-of-the-art sound system, stage, and setting. Each acoustic show will feature two rising country music artists, one from the UK and one from across the pond.    

The Nashville Meets London monthly residency is co-produced by Peter Conway Management and Nashville-based agency, The AristoMedia Group in collaboration with PizzaExpress Live. U.K. based radio DJ Baylen Leonard is the Head Artistic Programmer.
